Can you even make a case for Anderson being #7 by the Ring?

    No.

He's rated highly because he's an American, and The Ring is an American publication.

Usyk, Fury, Dubois, Joshua, Zhang, Parker, Kabayel there are seven guys who all deserve to be ranked higher than Anderson whose best win is.......Charles Martin?

So no I can't make a case he deserves to be ranked at 7. He hasn't fought anyone. Bakole is a good step in the right direction.

All of those fighters listed are rated above him by The Ring. Usyk is rightfully listed as the Heavyweight Champ and everyone else mentioned is one through 6. So, it's a case of whether Anderson warrants being rated with the likes of Hrgovic (who looked like hot buttered garbage in his last couple of fights), Chisora, Joyce, Bakole, et al.

TBRB also rates Anderson at 7, it should be noted.

The case is he's American and boxing needs America to be interested in boxing no matter how undeserving their popular heavyweight is.

And that's coming from an American. Anderson may retire after Saturday. He was already planning on retiring at 27 anyway.

America needs to embrace PED Baby Miller. At least he wants to fight unlike Anderson and Lazy Andy.

ETA: America desperately needs Richard Torrez to pan out to challenge Moses Itauma in the coming years.

No. Only reason why Anderson is even sniffing the top 10 is because of the recent activity at Heavyweight. Top fighters fighting each other and knocking each off, while Anderson sat on the sidelines and reaped the benefits.

I have all these guys ahead of him.

    Usyk
    Fury
    AJ
    Zhang
    Dubois
    Parker
    Kabayel
    Ajagba

Let's see what happens in his next fight against Bakole.

I like Anderson but he is not there yet. Oddly enough I was listening to the Chris Mannix podcast reflecting on the Chisora vs Joyce fight and Derek gunning for 50 fights. Chris thinks that Chisora should avoid Anderson at this stage. While I am an Anderson fan I certainly am not sure he is a lock or the fighter that Chisora should avoid.

The Bakole fight is a good barometer

For the record, I legit hope he steps up and makes America proud.

In my ideal future Anderson and Itauma collide whilst fully developed as fighters.

I think (if we are counting usyk as champ and the rest of the guys I mentioned 1-6) then 7-10 is open for interpretation. Do we rank Anderson based on how he's looked vs C level competition without facing anyone of note or someone like Joyce who has wins over Parker and Dubois but just lost to Chisora and Zhang? Bakoles win over Yoka is aging like milk, hrgy bear just lost to Dubois, Ajagba is kind of in the same boat as Anderson but I actually like his run after the Sanchez loss.

Basically 7-10 is a mess, its tough for me to make a really solid argument for someone to be ranked at 7 when they have no standout wins and are being hyped to the moon and back. I guess based on what we just talked about I could see it. I wouldn't like it, but I could see it (though its on shaky ground)

People had s*** ass OTTO WALLIN in their top 10 a few months ago due to who he was about to face. The rankings are largely political and defy logic.

At this moment in time, do you rate Chisora higher then Anderson?

It's hard to say. Chisora has the potential to cause an upset, but Chisora is old and he was gassing badly in his previous fight. I'd favor Anderson in a fight, simply because Anderson is entering his prime and Chisora is getting worse.
