most big punchers are chinny. They are thinking about delivering a punch and when they are hit they are not expecting it or thinking about it.

 

Watch Haye get knocked out by Vlad.

I dont think Haye is chinny, i think he just runs out of gas! He's got a great physique, but does he do enough cardio work? I dont think he does. Same could be said for Wlad a few years back but he seems to have more in the tank nowadays.

Haye's one of my favorite fighters, but i'm always a realistic fan.....so i can say Haye's chin is suspect as a HW, average at best even, but Wlads is no better, so it wouldn't matter in this fight at all, they both have enough power to put each other to sleep, so why point out 1 fighters flaws and not the others?, sound ridiculous to me

Yep, Haye admits his chin isn't granite and in the HWs anyone can be knocked out with a clean shot. Using the Barrett KD as an example though doesn't hold much weight for me, that was not a clean KD from Barrett.

 

He got knocked down and was all over the place against a super middleweight.

Knocked down, all over the place and stopped by Carl thompson, a good fighter but not renowned for his massive punch.

Though it wasn't counted as a knock down, he went down against Barrett. If you watch, the ref takes a dogs age to take a point off Barrett and when ho comes to Haye, he's still kneeling down, which doesn't speak well of his ability to take a real heavyweights punch, he was clearly hurt by it.

I like to watch Haye fight, I'm not a fan of his antics outside the ring, but I'd say I'm still a fan of his, but you're either blind or stupid if you don't think he has problems taking punches. Wlad hits way harder than anyone he's fought before, and also has chin problems but there's a big difference between getting dropped by Sam Peter and Lolenga Mock.

 

i think haye's biggest problems in any fight, especially against wladimir, is his leaky defense and bad stamina.

i swear he throws like 15 punches a round. yes, they might have KO written all over them but seriously he doesn't seem to have great or even average stamina for an elite fighter.

also i think he's more templey, meaning i think it's shots to his temple/upper forehead area which ****s him up.

But haye was dropped and hurt v Mock who was a middle weight and defo no puncher, down against Barret and hurt (look at the way he holds the ropes for a minute). Butt Wlad doesnt have a great chin either - its probably better than Hayes because Wlad has only ever fought Heavys and never been stopped by anyone who isnt a bona fide heavy but Haye knows this better than we all do its been done to death that he isnt Margarito who cares

 

Maybe I'm thinking of someone else then. I do remember seeing video of him getting knocked out in the amateurs by someone else who was a big name, in a fight where he scored a knockdown in the first but then got knocked out in the third.
