Yes. This is why Oscar is going to make himself the special guest referee for the rematch!

Jacobs fight was closer sure, but GGG once again landed more punches. Just not as many more. There are some great video's out there showing all the shots land in slomotion and telling the true story since nobody can trust CompuBox. GGG outlanded canelo by almost 100 punches and about 70 more than Jacobs. Jacobs fight could have been more warranted a Draw, but even he said GGG got robbed vs Canelo. Anyway, here's the Jacobs fight all punches landed

Golovkin needs to make sure that it isn't a close fight then. A draw was within reason last time out. He can make sure his shots are more accurate. He has to win the battle of the jabs, and he has to pressure Canelo the whole time.

C'mon guys EVERYONE expects that if the fight goes 12 Canelo will at the very least get another "draw" The cash cow must not lose

Landing more punches isn't a criteria for scoring professional fights.

I understand that it is in the amateurs, but its not in the pros.

There are four different criterias that need to be used when judging a pro fight.

One judge scored Mayweather vs Canelo a draw, so I wouldn't be surprised.

GGG did not outland Canelo by almost 100 punches. The only way you can make that kind of a calculation is if you count every borderline punch that hits Canelo's gloves or has no affect due to being slipped or evaded by Canelo.

If you don't have good eyesight, you might just be squinting at the screen seeing Golovkin throw punches, seeing Canelo react to the punches, and through the blur of not being able to see what's happening think that GGG must have landed about 100 more punches than Canelo due to how many more punches were thrown. If you break down what is actually landing cleanly and effectively Canelo was outlanding GGG in most rounds.

Jacobs did not have more of a claim to beat Golovkin than Canelo has. Canelo was far more effective and impressive in the ring vs GGG than Jacobs was. Canelo won more rounds, not just on the judges cards but in real terms. Canelo lit up Golovkin on several occasions and GGG took much more punishment from Canelo than he did vs Jacobs.

Not only that, but Jacobs gassed out in the 12th round vs GGG after a good 11th round, it seemed like Jacobs punched himiself out in the 1tth and had nothing left for the 12th. Whereas Canelo paced him better than Jacobs did so he had more left in the tank vs GGG for the 12th than Jacobs did vs GGG. For all the criticism Canelo got for so-called gassing in the middle rounds, the fact is that was Canelo pacing himself so he didn't deplete his energy, so he could recover better between rounds and have more left when it mattered most in the final rounds.
