I can not wait to see Mikey Garcia again. I can imagine him as the undisputed champion at LW in 2018, but only if Lomachenko decide to stay at 130...If Loma move up at 135 - everything is questionable....
I'm thinking Mikey will win ONE strap @135lbs & move up to 140lbs right away... unless another 135 champ is the next immediate match. Garcia seems to want to make up for lost time & Get the multiple belts in different weight class thing fast.
I really hope the rumoured October fight vs Zlaticanin happens so he can get started lining the best up at 135. No point in waiting long after beating a no hoper in his comeback fight. He's suggested he won't stay at 135 long, but outside of Crawford I don't think 140's better than 135, and I think 135's better suited to his size than moving up too fast. Zlaticanin, Flanagan, and Linares would be who he'd have to beat. I don't see him losing to any, but they would all give him interesting looks and make him show different sides of himself. Oh, Easter assuming he beats Commey would be good too, and probably the toughest match for him. I'd love Mikey-Loma too, but as Mikey's a Haymon fighter now it would probably take Loma calling him out to make it happen.
