Can you justify putting Floyd Mayweather Jr in a top 10 ATG list?

    Not top 10 at WW?

I understand the love for some of the oldies. Im not someone who believes the new era is better. But Floyd Mayweather would be more than able to hang with the old timers.

    I don't think so.

He's only had 11 fights at 147 pounds, plus 3 fights at 152 or 154.

That's not much quantity. The quality of opposition isn't there.

maybe not, but he'll get there before Ray Leonard does

    At different points.

It's like saying Wlad is the undisputed HW champ, when he isn't.

Name me an ATG that Floyd has beaten in their prime and at the optimum weight.

Still waiting for you to tell everyone who this Genaro was that Floyd decided to face for less money instead of Margarito.

Floyd fought Genaro Hernandez at super featherweight, had nothing to do with Margarito who was a welterweight.

But Wlad was and is most certainly the man in the division; and the same must be said of Mayweather.

Floyd fought Genaro in 98, but according to Brixton Boxer, Floyd apparently ducked Margarito to face 'Genaro' for less money.

No one belongs on this list till after they are retired. Then look at the entire career.

    It's certainly arguable.

    30-40 range is more realistic

Has he beaten any prime opponents that would justify placing him in the top 10?

    This is rhetorical.
