Usyk is clearly the leader in the clubhouse, to borrow a golf term. And, while perhaps short on elite quality, 4 wins in a calendar year is extremely impressive nowadays. Considering he entered a tournament with the best talent available in his weight class, he was obviously looking for challenges, as well. Dogboe could end up with 4 wins, but Usyk is the higher profile fighter. Wilder? I'd rate Usyk's 4 good/not great wins over Wilder's 2 good/not great wins should he beat Fury.
Have I read this correctly, knocking out an 87 year old Ortiz who has heart/blood pressure issues who Fury said was ruled UNFIT 10 minutes before ring walks and an inactive self confessed drug, alcohol and food abuser who bored us all the death waddling to victory over Pianeta is a better run of results than Usyks 2018? Have I hit my head? Has somebody slipped me a pill? Was that brownie I ate earlier laced with something it shouldn't have been? FFS
I,d give it to usyk. Probably more impressed with Inoue tho. Polished two good guys off in the first round. Usyk wins it probably because we,ve seen more of him. He's got the best CV from the year anyway pretty much beat 3 top cruiserweights. Reckon Inoue,s the more impressive fighter tho. Less skilled....but absolutely lethal. So quick. Punching in combinations and punching through people. Best I,ve seen for a while in terms of that. Can't see anyone standing with him atm.
I don't have a problem with that, but I think most fans say the opposite. In any event, again, to me it was a screwjob and a moot point.
GGG arguably won the first one but I think the second was an Alvarez win. I’m not a Canelo fan boy, it was a close fight but Canelo dictated the pace of the second fight. Pagara was a hype job it’s simple. Jessie beat one name in a washed up Donaire then went back to fighting bums.
