Can you name a fighter who holds a better list of top 4 wins?

And can you name the fighter? This was taken off an idea from another Forum from a great poster who used to frequent these boards.

Back to the topic, the man in question fought the likes of Sam Langford, Barbados Joe Walcott, Joe Gans, and Jack Blackburn multiple times, racking up wins (or what should've been wins according to most publications, even if they aren't acknowledged as so by Boxrec) against all 4 at one point or another.

Who is this fighter, and does he have a legitimate claim to holding the best top 4 wins in history, even ahead of Ray Leonard?

I believe that his wins could be considered arguably greater than Ezzard's -who boasts conquests of Burley, Archie Moore, and Joe Louis. When taken in context, they are in my opinion greater than Ray Leonard's.

Dave Holly? Ask Stonehands89, nicely. His great grandfather sparred with him. And funnily enough, it was his grandfather's dog that bit Dave on the ass that eventually seen him die of blood poisoning.

henry armstong deserves a mention with his wins over mclarnin, ross, ambers and angott.

roy jones jr. is pretty glossy with wins over toney, hopkins, mccallum and trinidad

If you want to just look at the "names" beaten, it's hard to beat Jack Johnson.

    Langford, Jeffries, Fitzsimmons, McVea, Jeannette...

Jones may have 4 top names, but not one of the 4 you mentioned were prime.

Obviously, the best 4 beaten by one man is Jones, Hopkins, Kessler, Eubanks.
