Even though I'm not much of a list maker, I enjoy the discussions that go on as a result of them

Hard to tell these days, my bad. Great list too. I'd still make a case for Pep being top 10 based on achievements and (particularly pre-broken back) in ring ability , although it's hard to say with a lot of these old fighters where there is limited footage, it's one of the reasons I can't have Greb number 1. I'd also have Sandy Saddler above Pep personally but that is up for debate. I've never done a full all time top 10/15 but my top 3 are 1) Armstrong 2) SRR 3) Greb.

One thing is for sure : there's not a fighter active in the last 5 years that's top 15 all time material, in stark contrast to the OP

    2/10...Robinson and Ali.

The remainder range from overrated (Usyk) to very overrated (GGG) to comical Tim Tszyu.

I don't think that word applies here.

I have Pac at 15 and Floyd at 14.

You could argue that Floyd has not been active against real boxers in the past five years, but Pac makes it in under the wire at number 15, and he had a win over Thurman four and a half years ago.

Each to their own, but I don't see it personally. Obviously great fighters, but in an all time sense they're outside the top 15

As you say, we all have our own criteria for judging who ranks where.

For this reason, my quarrel was with your use of the word SURE.

    When you state...
"One thing is for sure : there's not a fighter active in the last 5 years that's top 15 all time material "

...you are declaring that this is a fact and not just an opinion.

Ive never written out a full top 15, i just know there are more than 15 can put ahead of Floyd and Pac, including Thomas Hearns, Hagler, even guys like Turpin or Freddie Mills can have a case, although again it gets difficult to judge based on resume alone without the accompanying eye test, or the eye test without the accompanying resume

Sadly, I feel like you were pressured by propaganda to include Ali and Robinson and knew that all the fans of those b/w documentaries and pretentious biographies from NY sportswriters would be outraged if you didn't and try to discredit any list without them.
These old Murican characters are really just myths and were fighting in a domestic league basically. Their old footage is comical in many cases, and they'd be considered taxi-driver bums these days by the same people who worship them.

    Much truth to this.

I also find it interesting that Tyson Fury is a bad person for certain comments he made but scum with serious allegations against them like Cassius X or the convict Tyson are worshipped. What does it say about their worshippers?
