oh yeah ****ing hell:admin made a pretty good whiskered fighter into murder victim. takaloo's head looked left and right simultaniuosly...not helped by tak having his chin higher than mount everest
This one reminds me of a wildlife program where the crocodile grabs a wading impala or zebra, or the way a tiger would break the neck of a deer, or something. There's an animalistic quality about the way Tua treated Ruiz like a chew toy.
[yt]KNul7NMr8oI&[/yt] it's a bit long but i think this is one of the most fakiest looking koes ever. this is what i expect all non boxing fans for koes to look like. sod was a good boxer as well. good southpaw jab and a very good straight left...strange to come from a thai fighter who arnt the most technically adept fighting nations. but point was in the first fight he totally out hustled de leon. countering all those wild swinging shots. the southpaw vs southpaw neutrality defintly helped out the puncher. also love how the most wildest punching , most unrefined boxer to ever hold a belt. finishes the fight on a counter jab cross...
this is simon brown - vincent pettway. pettway was one of those overachievers. good punch and can box a bit buthe was never going to be a top leveler. he fights on short notice the strongest light middle in the division gianfanco rosi. rosi had become the strongest champ due to terry norris getting koed brutally and having an incredible win streak of 11 defences of his ibf championship. pettway a severe undedog comes in as practical fodder. in a spirited contest pettway uses unknown handspeed and technical skills to outbox the far stronger rosi. well ahead on the cards rosi bumps heads with pettway.both men grabing there head in shock and pain in the resulting panic the fight was declared a technical draw and due to the light controversy a rematch is arranged. vincent comes out more weary and respects rosi more than usual with rosi becoming pretty active with his jab and parry style. in the 2nd round he is told to turn the pressure on he goes in more aggresive and gets deducted a point due to him hitting after the break (dubious)...gettign back into the fight a jab cross snaps rosi's body to the floor. getting up a for pettway getting only a sinlge point for his actions. a war breaks out later and after a bit of hop skip and a jump a left hook ends rosi's reign. being a new champion at the age of 31 was the peak of his career. he signs to fight another top 5 light middlewieght simon brown. simon brown born in claredon jamaica was born fighting. born at home instead of hospital. he became an accomplished ahtlete being an exceltent batsman (cricket) and midfielder (football) in ihs younger days. growing up he learnt to box and a boxer he became. his natural talent to take men biger than himself and had a "die trying" attitude was a quality only available to the pro ranks. he showed his chin and power in brutal koes and ability to take punishment from the best fighters in the sport and still keep coming. he became a class welterwieght. and a fan fav...his style being similar to jeff lacy or glen johnson a very tight defence with a left hook and uppercuts in both hands. he beats the incrdeibly protected but fun tyrone trice. in on eo fthe last 15 rounders. koing him in the 14th. now the new Ibf champ he puts on an impressive streak of koes and beatings...against good but not elite challengers. this changed hen he obliterated the tall long powerpunching amatuer demon mo blo.unifing the titles and was one of boxing pound 3 pound top 10 (low ranked in it but still ranked) but it took a cost he was starting to find it harder and harder to make wieght... he takes on buddy mcGirt and is ultimatly defeated and outslicked by the slick counterpuncher...looking out of shape and weak form the former bomber. he moved up in wieght and fought the "dangerous, destructive, notorius, terrible Terry Norris" at light middle. being in a different wieght class and looking past his priem at the age of 30. a good but one sided fight was going to be the norm. in the first round norris was shook by a left hook, an easy defence gone bad. a right hand drops him and ends his reign. he gets a rematch and norris wins but it didnt matter, the guy was punked and out of the elite level lists. a fight against 2 of the top 5 light middles was about to happen. both over 30, both the underdogs in there figths but both men needing to proove there salt and there careers. im not lieing this is my favourite ever fight. both using good but unrefined techniques and skills. both heavy heavy punchers, both needing to proove there former wins, combonations, thrilling counterpnches, dirty infighting and fouling. and a world class surprising ko to tie it all up. it's on youtube somwhere and i suggest you watch it... even when you know the outcome the fight inbetween is far mroe shocking and exciting. :good sorry my fav fight ever
Ha, hey that's okay, and I did watch it and it was awesome. I'm actually a young fighter who knows a lot more about fighting then the fan side of things. Been learning a lot of the history of boxing lately from posts such as this. So yea, thanks.
