Any thoughts? Is there anyone through the history of LHW who could beat the skilled HW giants in his HW debut?
Fitzsimmons first heavyweight fight was very early in his career, i dont give him a chance. I say Michael Spinks is a very good chance of beating one of the three. In fact, i think i would have money on him if the odds were right against all three. Outside of this, a Prime Roy Jones would be extremely interesting, if any of the three were unable to land the KO blow.
Not only were these guys really big but they also had extensive amateur careers. It's not like they were ever that raw. If it was just a big champ on his first fight then I would say absolutely any world class lightheavyweights beats him, but these guys were full time boxers in big tournaments so it's not the same. Usually a young fighter can't give away class over size in his first fight. For example I see Michael Grant getting beat first time out. I can even see a young George Foreman getting his ass handed to him by Willie Pastrano in first fight however because be was really raw. Typically a debutants first fight will be four or six rounds so they even have the edge in pace over a shorter distance. I think Lewis was the vest debutant. He won't get beat unless it's ten rounds. The others perhaps. Most likely Klitchko. I pick Moore, laughran, spinks, Charles and Pastrano.
Langford was 5'6. Lewis and w klit are 6'6, Vitali 6'8. How would he even reach Klitschko or Lewis head? Fitzsimmons was a super middleweight at 165lb. He would be giving up an 85lb weight advantage to Klitschko and Lewis NOT HAPPENING
He barely out pointed a far past his prime 6'3 220lb Larry Holmes How is he going to beat prime versions of Lewis and W klit both 6'6 250?
