Can You See Bowe's Decision to Not Fight Lewis From His POV?

The deal was signed Vander V Bowe & Lennox V Ruddock All was fine till Lennox destroyed Ruddock , who was actually the favorite to win it. Bowe , Newman & especially Papa Smurf Eddie Futch, knew Bowe could not beat Lennox. Newman offered a ludicrous split with Bowe getting 90 % knowing Lennox would turn it down Then he had his excuse We offered Lennox refused lol Next thing you know its WBC belt in the trash can BS.
Lennox had one fault, he tended to underestimate his supposedly easy opponents. That cost him an undefeated record Note the rematches especially Rahman his head in the King logo flat on his back out cold that was classic. Lennox beat every man he ever faced in the pro ring how many can say that ???

 

Newman caused his downfall for sure but Eddie Futch was quoted as saying " I knew Riddisk wasn't going to cut it when he put a fridge in his bedroom, he ate his career away". Bowe had the skills he just didn't want to work for it

 

Newman didn't know boxing he was a rock N roll promoter. Stunts were all he knew. No promoter really trusted Riddick enough tp sign him, Newman saw he could make $$$$$$$$ If they dodged Lewis. Ive no doubt he robbed Bowe on the way too

 

I can certainly see it from Lennox POV. . Bowe under Futch was a better fighter than at the time and Lewis knew it. Lewis knew exactly when and when not to fight guys.
He was smart in that regard.

 

Had more to do with King and the WBC's demands. That's why Bowe went up to Lewis after beating Holyfield and said on camera, "You're not the man I thought you were. If we don't get it on I owe you one!"

What do you think Bowe meant when he said that? And be honest!

Lewis: I looked into Riddick Bowe's eyes and I see- I seen absolute fear. He fears me. I think he's gonna sidestep me. Hopefully, he doesn't. Don't let me call him 'Chicken Bowe'. Bring it on, Bowe.

 

No idea knowing Bowe. He'd seen Lennox absolutely destroy Ruddock not long before I know it wasn't Lennox didn't want the fight he wanted that undisputed title. Its a shame it never happened when it was supposed to Both were in good shape & it would have been Bowe's best chance. I think he got used to people calling him champ & let himself go taking the easy money. What ever happened to Newman he totally dropped out of sight.

Did you see that tape of Lennox with a cute girl dressed in a yellow chick suit confront Bowe saying' "Meet the real Chicken Bowe " She had Chicken Bowe across her chest lol Bowe didn't make any threats that time.
That's 2 fights I really wanted to see Bowe/ Lewis & Floyd / Margarito I know for sure Floyd was having no part of Antonio though.

It was just after the Bowe Lennox confrontation.. I cant remember if it was at a Bowe fight or where it was I just remember seeing it. It was Lennox getting back at Riddick

 

Bowe pre 95 would of beat Lewis !! He took the easy root with Ferguson and Dokes for good money who can blame him
