Can you see why Wilder avoided Povetkin after his fight with Ortiz?

    1) Opinion^
    2) Everybody Ortiz fought, Povetkin would beat, and you can add Ortiz and Wilder to the list

Ortiz has never even fought somebody like Wlad. If he had, he'd have had another L on his resume.

Yeah, so? It's been a while since Wlad has tried to KO guys every fight. If you want to see the end with him you probably will.

You can add Donald, Chambers, Byrd, Boswell, Charr, Perez, Duhaupas, Hammer, Rudenko who are all decent to good wins. That's a solid, solid resume.

Thompson was 46ish, ultra-shot and hasn't fought since. And featherfisted Scuba Scott ... LOL. He even got stopped by Chisora. Jennings is decent.

1 decent win against a roll call of a resume that Povetkin has. LOL. Don't even go there.

I don’t think he would and I’m not saying that after the event,I had Wilder fav against Povetkin back then and I’m not a Wilder fan.
Too big, rangey and powerful.Povetkin isn’t the animal he’s made out to be,sure the PED version of him was good but against Wlad he couldn’t take a jab without getting wobbled so imagine what Wilder would of done to him.

Povetkin had multiple chances to fight Wilder. He had another chance to be mandatory during his fight with Stiverne but failed another drug test. How the **** is that Wilder's fault? Because of Povetkin's rampant drug use, we got Wilder-Stiverne 2 instead of the Povetkin fight.

I wanted that fight so badly for Wilder just like I wanted the fight against Ortiz. Ortiz was the harder fight too, I preferred the Povetkin fight.

No he's not. Povetkin is a better boxer, and has more skill than Ortiz. I'm not understanding why Ortiz, all of a sudden is being talked up as this technical boxing Cuban. He's not a great technical boxer, while he isn't horrible either. He's a 6'1 plodder, who can't negotiate distance a third as well as most Cuban boxers.

I wouldn't say Wilder ran away from Povetkin but the tyre marks from Wilder's plane are still visible on the runway

I don’t think Povetkin is everything he’s hyped up to be either, sure he had a great Amateur record but I just have this image of Povetkin walking forward eating shots, sure Wlad did some awful stuff in that fight to Povetkin but there was some real orthodox stuff too and Povetkin just looked all at sea,he couldn’t even compete with Wlad which is why I think Wilder would be too big for him.

You'd be hard pressed to find any smaller boxers in history who would be able to negotiate Wlad's jab, right hand, and grab style. The shorter men, get out jabbed, and when they get in, they can't work because Wlad was allowed to hold them excessively.

I wanted the Povetkin fight because so many weirdos were saying he ducked. Wilder would have destroyed him.

Yes that’s true, his holding was awful to watch and if I’m right was brought about by Steward after his KO losses.

Larry Donald - was fat and old and without a win in several years.

Chambers - An ok win, but nothing special.

Mike Perez - Scrub at both heavyweight and cruiserweight.

Duhaupas - Not even given a full days notice and was wearing tennis shoes. Duhaupas was also over 250 lbs against Povetkin while against Wilder and Helenius he was in great shape at around 235. Can't give Povetkin any credit for this fight.

Hammer - Overrated. Besides being destroyed by Wach and Fury who did he ever beat.

Rudenko - Overrated. Easily schooled by Hughie Fury and Lucas Browne. His only good win is Mike Mollo, who was easily knocked out twice by Szpilka, who then got stopped by Jennings.
