Can you think of a heavyweight better than Luis Ortiz who never won a title?

Based on what ? Norton couldn’t fight going back and that’s the direction he’d be going . Physically imposing guys is needed to get to him ,I’d say Povetkin is the smallest non champion I’d favor . Guys like Ruddock , Tua and Golota are all favorites to.

WTF is is about Ortiz that has people thinking he's some amazing historic talent? I mean, ****, he's very good. But talk about overboard on a guy who has never taken a top level win....

Golota definitely isn't. He never bear a top ten fighter in his career, and had more chances than just about anyone.

Well I actually like ortiz style but he hasn't shown once in a pro fight he is up to beating someone like Norton. He has beat no one and lost to wilder twice. Loads of old school would beat wilder

Joe could bang alright. He wasn't great at unleashing it but when he was hurt or annoyed, look out.
Bugner was as under rated as Ortiz is over rated. Fabulous Heavyweight on his night.

here we go, fury fury fury. People I don’t engage with randomly mention him and derail threads.

if you think that about fury, ok fine

But it’s nothing to do with the question asked, give it a rest

One name I haven't seen mentioned is Eddie Machen. Much better Fighter than Ortiz. Zora Folley too.

    David Tua.

Beat 4 champs - but not at the moment they held the belt.
