I didn't see a thread for Canadian boxing so I figured I start one for Canadian boxing.

Anyone here have any favorite Canadian boxers?

It seems like Quebec produces a lot of boxers like David Lemieux, Jean Pascal, Lucien Bute, Adonis Stevenson and so on.

Let's discuss. Discuss current Canadian boxers and past Canadian boxers.

On a sidenote, I heard if Lemieux wins his next fight against N'Dam, he'll fight Triple G.

Steve Claggett is the only boxer I know of out of my city.

He's fun to watch ,he fought Ponomarev a little while ago and lost but I'm still rooting for him to make some noise in the U.S.

I have mentioned several times that a Canadian Forum ought to be resurrected. There are many fights involving Canadians not only in Quebec but internationally as well.Besides the obvious suspects in Quebec, you have McGuiness,Tony Louis,Brandon Cook, the bizaar comeback of Razor Ruddock and a number of Russian type fighters fighting out of Montreal.
A forum like this would get a lot more activity than the Euro trash forum, thats for certain.:canada

Why isn't Vancouver or Toronto producing any good boxers?

I dunno but I know montreal produces quite a few boxers it seems.

Regarding past canadian boxers, there was razor ruddock, George chuvalo (from toronto), Trevor berbick and Lennox lewis.

A shame, i would love for Vancouver to have a good boxing scene. Don't know what it is about that city, but it is really appealing.

There's nothing at all obligating him to fight GGG. NOTHING.

And the $$$ would be better vs GGG with HBO'S BLESSING but he'll still end up fighting for half that on a PBC card vs Jacobs, Quillin or even Harrison.

Nobody has the ***** to fight GGG if theyve got SOMETHING TO LOSE.

    NOBODY

How would he end up on PBC? Did Oscar and Al shake hands on the weekend?

    I don't think so.

Time will tell but he has great attributes...Excellent smooth footwork, lightning fast and good power...Very athletic guy only question mark his chin because he has'nt been hit much so far but has all the tools to become world champion IMO.

Several fighters that are STILL managed by GAYMAN are GBP fighters....

They must have some form of working relationship.

And Drozzy.... You know I like Lemiuex, but do you HONESTLY believe he'd fight GGG if he wins that vacancy?????

Who are these guys?!? They all jumped ship with Haymon!

Canelo and a few others is all that's left in Oscar's stable...

And of course, I expect Lemieux NOT to get in there with GGG right away IF he wins. I just can't see him in vs Quillin or Jacobs because Al and Oscar are like Al and Jay-Z.
