Quick shout out for Custio Clayton, a former Olympian from my neck of the woods who came pretty close to securing a medal and is now 3-0 as a pro (he only made his debut last year). Not sure how far he'll go, but he pressures well, does a good job of targeting the body and throws some nice, compact punches. He'll be fun to watch, at any rate.
Unforunately Vancouver boxing is next to nothing there. I used to fight as an amateur there and literally to get fights you would have to almost always travel outside of the city, sometimes into other provinces like Alberta. It sucks because the guys that do train there look good. I then moved to Edmonton, Alberta and here there is a pretty large boxing scene, lots of upcomers both pros and amateurs. Of course Steve Claggett is one of the more known fighters but i think in a few years, Edmonton will have more fighters. I also forgot Arash Usmanee who fought on ESPN a few times. Montreal and sometimes Toronto has a huge boxing scene, as you can tell most of Canadian champs/fighters fight out of Montreal. My coach told me that the passion for boxing there is big and that city/province has more people who are willing to train and do it as compared to Alberta or BC
