Canadian fans, you pick Pascal to beat Froch, but you never say why!!!

Two guys who shamelessy borrow from RJJ's style. One guy has the power (Froch) and one has the athleticism/reflexes (Pascal). Personally in a case like this, I go with the heavier handed of the two.

I say Froch beats Pascal probably by KO. Pascal holds his hands too low, is still recovering from shoulder surgery and has shown a potential chin deficiency. If he stays away he could take a decision...but I don't think Pascal's courage will allow him to box like that.

Many convincing points, but as Scorpy said, Mark Woolnough? It took him 11 rounds to stop him? Not very convincing. I had a good laugh at that one. A Canadian belt means nothing by the way. It's only for local fighters. Let's forget that one.

Personally, I think you'd have to take Froch here cuz of his power and what appears to be a shaky chin on Pascal. Froch's also fighting in his own backyard so Pascal will be heading into a hornet's nest.

I am canadian and I don't see how Pascal can win this one.

    If he fixed his stamina...
If he fixed his level of activity
    If he fixed his defense

He MIGHT pull it out. But then again, there are a lot of ifs.. don't you think?

Yes. A lot of ifs. But that's the beauty of boxing, the ifs sometimes happen. If not, it would be boring. I've seen some Froch's bouts but not all of them. How is he reacting when his opponent throws lots of combos? Is he able to cut the ring well against a mobile opponent?
I find him a little bit passive, waiting for the big hit. He doesn't seem to like being pressured either. I think Froch by ko is the probable ending, but I can't see him winning on points. He hits very fast, but moves very slowly. It's not so clear he will win.

Well I'm from Montreal and I don't think Pascal will pull it off...
I'm afraid for another reality check on his part and unfortunately seeing him lay helpless on the canvass....

If only Pascal-Miranda had gone through all those months ago. That would've told us A LOT about Pascal's chances against a heavy handed power puncher.

Not sure I can answer your questions. But personally, I have never been impressed by Pascal. He's got over-rated power (Maybe his shoulder injury prevented him from showing it in the last bouts, but remember Ikeke, Abraham KOed him in 4 I think?)

Pascal is also very passive I find. He walks around the ring, no bounce in his feet game. Seems to think he will be able to evade everything by keeping his hands low.

I dunno, I think GYM's decent to hell is going to be completed with Pascal-Froch.

I think Pascal will get buried..Despite Frochs lack of technical skill, Pascals chin is utter shite and eventually Pascal will get caught

Same thing here. If he can get clocked by two nobodies (and he was BADLY clocked in his last one against Pitman), Froch should be able to T-off on his chin.

Pitman isn't faster then Froch, isn't busier and isn't stronger.

I can't wait to see what Pascal looks like when he does the chicken dance.
