Thats what I'm thinking. Pascal can box fairly well but I just cant see him keeping Froch away for 12 rounds.....All I can see is impending doom for Pascal

I'm going to this one and expect to see Froch win by stoppage. Froch is a beast and very rare in that he has a huge puncher AND a granite chin. His only weakness is a low workrate

My head tells me Froch will win. But I think you can find more than one weakness in Froch's game. ;)

I don't want to argue or anything but....

    1- Woolnough is ****.
2- Grant fought him after a 5 years layoff following a near fatal car accident
3- Grant has no power to speak off.

Froch is a bum and he is just about done. I expect Pascal to help Froch with his exit from boxing at the championship level. Even if Froch were to win, he won't be champ for long. He is overrated in every way. Pascal has too much speed and good power. Pascal seems to be the better boxer. Both are unproven, but right now I favor Pascal.

A good ,well informed post, thanks! I agree, I expect Froch to KO Pascal. I have never been impressed by Pascal.

Too much speed against who though? Froch isn't David Pittman or some other bum that he likes to fight. Too me watching Pascal fight was like seeing a poor RJJ impersonator figthing club fighters.

Who has Froch fought? lol, The one time I did see him fight, I saw him taking his time before kayoing an old man. I saw a guy who was easy to hit, a guy with no right hand, and a guy with no boxing skills.

I am just saying it is not hard to outbox and outspeed the club fighters, who are slow that Pascal has been fighting. How fast would Pascal be against a World Class fighter, when even against Pittman he got hit and was in trouble.

Carl Froch hasn't fought the greatest level of opposition either yet, but compared to Pascal his opponents are pretty good.

Pittman was no bum, and Pascal was not hurt nearly as bad as some make it out to be. When you get hurt and win, that has no bearing on future fights. These are learning experiences before the title shot. Ali was down against lesser men than Liston, and he dominated Liston.

Pittman is not top 10, 20, 50, not even top 100 ranked by boxrec. And this is Pascal's fight before getting a World Title shot. HTF did that happen?

Pittman had a draw with the dangerous 16-15-4 Dhafir Smith two fights before fighting Pascal.

I agree. Pascal was going up the rankings at a speed I wouln't understand. But Froch, even if his opponents are slightly better, does not have the resume to get a shot at a world title neither. Froch is not a world class fighter. Not yet. And don't worry, if one thing is sure, it's Pascal is by far faster than Froch, who is the slower top 20 SMW. I'm talking of footspeed. His hands are fast, but one or two shots at a time, because he's always goingo for the big one. Froch will lose the belt as soon as he faces a true elite. Pascal too!

I've only seen two of Pascals fight's but all of Frochs.

Now the Pascal fight's i saw, like nearly all of Frochs were aginst fighters who did'nt have a hope in hell of winning.

However Pascal was like a RJJ clone in their when i saw him and his skills really impressed me.

Froch has been able to fight at his own pace and do what ever the hell he wnats. He's a bit slow imo and been allowed to pick his shots well because his opponeents have had no confidence. He's a sucker for a right hand and he's shown bad defence. Plus he's been lazy at times.

I'm looking for Pascal to come in with confidence and his skills and to force Froch out of his comfort zone.

There's a lot of unanswered questions about these two but i'm going for Pascal even though i've only seen him twice.

Tbh i'm not sure if Froch has been able ot get up for some of his fight's and maybe that's the same for Pascal?

Maybe we'll see two different fighters at their best when they meet in the ring. :good

i will 99% of the time pick skill over power. many of you i think underrated the skill that Pascal has, i agree he has looked like **** as of late but if he puts it all together in this fight and has the injury behind him i see nothing in froch, other than a big punch and the great chin. not at all saying he isn't a good fighter but i have seen pascal at the top of his game and he is very fast and very skillful. i will pick pascal by UD. but of course i know if he gets caught big he may go down.
