I was just scrambling to put together exactly such a meta-data post, now I get to drop it and chill. You're officially hired as my RBR intern, haha. Sitting back and having a sip of my coffee while still actually hot once in a while sounds terrific!

My picks for the business end of the card:

Garrido close UD10 over Tachour
Santos upset KO vs. Lofidi

 

Juniors class amateur bout coming up. Skinny teen in the ring, wearing a tank-top, his coach fussing with the velcro straps to strap him into the headgear, delaying the start for a while. Ref comes over to lend a hand. Opponent just standing patiently in his corner, hands behind his back. Everybody milling around ringside looks so lethargic and sleepy.

They need to have the ring card girls walk around handing out espresso shots (with a drop of Kahlua), liven these folks up.

I'd be mortified to be either of these kids about to fight in front of such a listless crowd. Hell, there's more venue staff and boxing officials than audience members and they're just lazily chatting amongst themselves.

 

Quick hands from Red Headgear.

Blue Headgear needs to pick a stance. I think he's a southpaw but he keeps shifting while following RHg in straight lines. I don't mean the Dempsey/Golovkin sort of shifting where he's doing it on purpose, either - I mean there's just a lack of basic fundamental boxing footwork going on.

10-9 RHg, nothing great scored but just popping off flurries and moving well (compared to BHg)

Blue has gone with orthodox in Round 3, and boy is that paying dividends. Has landed a couple of right crosses that made Red blink hard and buckle @ the knees.

Blue giving up his natural height advantage, but actually somewhat effectively, getting inside and pummeling the body while draping himself over Red. Almost shades of Paul Williams.

Dominant BHg round, I now have them 1-1-1 (2nd even).

 

Gaspar is a wildly unpredictable entity, IMO. His only legitimate stoppage defeats that don't have big suspicious asterisks beside them are to Bellew and Kudryashov, neither of which is any shame whatsoever. I don't trust a single knockout victory on Junlong Zhang's record, that stuff going on in China is VERY fishy.

I also think Lofidi is a glass-jawed regional club-fighter.
