He'd have to be careful the entire time through. Truax carries his decent/above average power late.

Joe & Mikkel would be ashamed of the state of their erstwhile office. These new hires are disgraceful!

Very true. I think Nadjib >>> Caleb but in a h2h series might get murked 4/10 against him.

I still remember Truax pounding Don George into the canvas like a nail. George was never a good fighter but he was always extremely durable.

Truax isn't all that but if you're there to be hit and you can't get him out of there easily, you very may well struggle. He's got that consistent work rate and thudding power. Very workmanlike in the ring.

There's a cyclist named Nacer Bouhanni who used to box in his teens, but he's the reverse of Maravilla, he turned to cycling in his early 20's, but he says when his cycling career is over, he wants to return to the ring. And I wish he would already, he's a dirty ****er on his bicycle, he's gotten into several fights, IIRC punched another cyclist, maybe 2, and has been stripped of wins, because he shouldered or elbowed guys to get past them in the sprint, which is a big no no. If he has a good chin, I bet he could beat Garrido in his pro debut.

Good point; then again "Da Bomb" is about zero point zero percent slick, while Djib is slipperier than a ****d up eel.

Here's the best I can figure as far as placement for Mohammedi:

Domestically, he's top dog. For now. He'd beat Hadi just as easily in a million rematches (or fine maybe he gets knocked out in one but goes 999,999-1) - and I think he safely outpoints Rebrassé every time out as well (albeit dropping more rounds than against Mohoumadi, because styles make fights). The guys in the 4 and 5 slots, however, are both young guys with high KO ratios (Lele Sadjo & Diallo), so they'd both have a puncher's chance versus Mohammedi that neither Rebrassé nor Mohoumadi does, although Rebrassé and Mohoumadi both probably school Lele Sadjo and Diallo 10/10.

On the world stage, kind of the same dynamic. If you're not a) blessed with dynamite in your mitts or b) skilled to a premium world class degree, you're probably in grave danger of Mohammedi spoiling your evening.

Mohammedi, then, is the sort of dude that could just as easily upset Chunky DeGale one night as get KTFO by, say, Avni Yildrim the next. If that makes any sense. I'd say he's surely top 15 h2h in the world at the weight (and more like 20-25 up at light heavy, which is now a MUCH stronger division than super middle).

    Seem about right?

That's true. I wonder how he was knocked out of the fight so early in his previous steps up in competition in consecutive years, coming to the US, recently.

Maybe he's one of those Cedric Vitu level fighters who is simply perfectly suited to fighting exciting but B-Level level bouts and isn't efficient at the world level. That's not necessarily a bad thing, just means his match makers are going to have to match him accordingly.

Interesting how the odds started at 50/50, then shifted in Mohomaudi's favor, who ended up being schooled. Shades of Groves - Eubank Jr.

Fucking finally, was worried that Canal+ had gone off the copyrighting deep end to such an extreme as suppressing videos of bygone fights just to spite everyone.

Not sure Mohammedi vs. Mohoumadi will see the light of the day, though. Garrido got a hold of and posted his fight on his personal channel as he usually does, but the only legitimate sources for the main event would be Canal+ themselves or MK1 Events, and they're currently in the midst of some kind of contentious snit.

Guess you had to be there.
