Neither guy hurt, neither looks like they are going to hurt the other. All action, and really fun fight, but there's an element of danger missing...though saying that Rojas' gas tank running out could be pretty dramatic

It's actually pretty astute. Both guys throwing constantly and landing a lot. Neither guy shown the slightest hint that they're hurt.

    Round 8

Rojas Díaz is getting jabbed against the ropes and then needled with straights on both jowls. Xu is hanging back outside Rojas Díaz' hooking range and just picking spots after posting up in the perfect spot to gate-keep with Rojas Díaz trapped in a corner, able to reach him with both his long arms no matter which direction Rojas Díaz moves. Desperate torpedo flurries diving in by Rojas Díaz to free himself and get past Xu, but nothing effective landing.

    10-9 Xu

    77-75 Rojas Díaz

    Round 9

Rojas Díaz takes a turn hooking away on Xu for a few seconds, most of them blocked - and Xu then rattles off several consecutive straights, also caught on the gloves or wrists or partially rolled as Rojas Díaz hunkers down and shifts to his side. BIG looping right up top by Rojas Díaz, missing, but just a diversion, setting up a left hook on the ribs which scores. Rojas Díaz scoring with sharp hooks inside after paving the way by spamming a high throwaway jab. Xu no longer able to find the volume to hold Rojas Díaz off. Xu jabbing and immediately retracting into a high turtle shell and on the move. BIG hooks downstairs by Rojas Díaz. Xu hurt. Chopping right by Rojas Díaz. Xu really hurt. Bell.

    10-9 Rojas Díaz

    87-84 Rojas Díaz

Ah, was wondering if that was a quote from the commentators on some channel, as you did...use quotes. :sisi1 (plus I'm not watching an English language broadcast, so if the commentators on the dumb-named streaming app were indeed saying weird or banal things, I wouldn't be in the know...Canal Space is where it's at. :deal:)

    Round 10

Rojas Díaz is tired, jabbing very perfunctorily, pumping them out as though underwater and taking a full beat to pull back to starting position in between. Xu is taking advantage, stepping around Rojas Díaz, gaining position for a clear firing lane - and stamping him with flush straights! Rojas Díaz is actually slightly hurt! Rojas Díaz starts to rally and chop at the head from mid-range, selling out, telegraphing but not caring, putting his all into shots that even blocked force Xu back a step. Rojas Díaz digging down deep here..

    10-9 Xu

    96-94 Rojas Díaz

    Round 11

Xu is walking Rojas Díaz down, letting his spray of heavy chops wash across his outer forearms, then seizing his moment, skirting the gap with big right hands to kick off his salvos, which turn into rapid shoeshines across the face which have Rojas Díaz falling back against the ropes. Very weak defensive jabs from Rojas Díaz, who repeatedly needs a moment to clear the cobwebs as he stumbles away, shaking his head jerkily as though doing so could dispel his dizziness.

    10-9 Xu

    105-104 Rojas Díaz

Incredible takeover by Xu in the second half of this, but on my card he needs a knockdown to fare any better than a draw (which means Rojas Díaz's belt doesn't change hands, if the judges agree with me..)

    Round 12

Rojas Díaz is veering away drunkenly from Xu, letting fly a couple of jabs and laboriously pushed rights, hissing through his teeth as he attempts to string both together in combination, without ever ceasing his outward drift. Xu pursues, intelligently, picking at Rojas Díaz's bones with jabs and reach-in lead rights. Xu gets closer and starts to slip the wild hooks of Rojas Díaz and land some of his own hooks. Rojas Díaz exploding before hitting the ropes, frenzied like a cornered animal, but has zero accuracy now.

    10-9 Xu

    114-114

Great fight but I find these types of fights to be near impossible to score. A draw seems fair in this situation though

It's too bad Xu has no power at all, I think he could have gotten Rojas out of here tonight if he could break a potato chip with his fists. Rojas looked like a dead man from 10 onwards.

    Note to self:

Puncher-stalker vs. boxer-swarmer makes for a nice mesh of styles. (if at similar overall level of class, which this pair is)

Damn those were quite wide and I favored Xu in many of the close rounds. Pretty pathetic scoring
