I am cancelling HBO on March 26 after I watch the Gamboa's fight, I think they made a mistake ****ing with Arum.
I am adding Showtime on february 26, Arum has a few fights on Showtime already plus Shaw and King on it. They will kick HBO's ass.
It called my attention that I read that HBO was interested in the Klitscho vs Chisora fight when they said before they won't show any more of the Klitscho's fights. Business must be bad now.
GBP dont seem to have any good shows with the exception of Marquez vs Morales and thats a PPV as usual from them.
Arum is taking big control of the boxing business with all his fighters.
I like him and his fighters with the exception of Chavez Jr.

    Is anyone doing the same?

This is what kills the sport, too much competition in business within the sport.

Not in this case. Boxing is looking for popularity. How will that happen when one network, that isn't free, dominates another?

huh? are u referring to HBO dominating Showtime?

i feel that hbo shuts down boxing. limited viewers. and when they were monopolising, its all good for them to ignore the klits fights, cause they had that power. this shifts everything, which is why ur hearing them considering bringing back the klits.

Don't know what its like over in the States for watching boxing, in the UK we seem to do pretty well.

Sky is £47-50 ($80) per month and we get boxing every Saturday with the top domestic fight of the week (Booth vs Arthur for the British & Commonwealth titles tonight) with the odd American card thrown in as well - i.e Mayweather-Marquez, Mayweather-Mosley, Marquez-Diaz, Bradley-Alexander, Pacquiao-Margarito, Pacquiao-Cotto, Wlad-Chambers, Wlad-Chambers, Wlad-Chagaev and in the past we've Barrera, Morales, Corrales etc.

Obviously we've had the PPV for Warren's events recently, Haye & Hatton then we have other channels that pick up boxing like Premier and Primetime but they don't show it all the time and they also charge to view boxing.

Showtime from I've read seem to be moving ahead and doing well, I liked their idea of the Super 6 (been a fan of the 160-68 division for years), I know some hate it but it was made with good intentions, the Bantamweight tourney as well.
