I dont know about the 175, but he did say that way before Canelo claimed to be the Middleweight Champ. His team made those claims to try to strike a big mega fight with Floyd... where he was willing to dehydrate down to fight the much smaller Floyd. Canelo ain't a "much smaller fighter" though. Canelo is perfectly capable of fighting at 160.
    That's the difference my friend.

It's sad that boxing is about only money and not fighting the best anymore. You are clowns.

It's prize fighting. It's always about the money. You think the boxers care what you or I want? Come on don't be this naiive.

Tell me the fighters of the 70s 80s and 90s didn't care about fighting the best

Why are you backtracking? You mean to tell me they didn't care about the money, just fighting the best was enough compensation?

Of course money is always gonna be number one, but it wasn't that long ago that when a fighter knew his career-high payday was coming against the next best fighter behind them or the front of them, they would fight. That doesn't happen anymore sadly.

LOL, you clown. I'm not backtracking . When Mohammed Ali fought Joe Frazier, it was a career-high payday for both, but it was also the biggest fight in the division bar none. The triple G and Canelo fight is the exact same situation and Canelo ran away from it.

I wonder what Vargas would think about all this backtracking you keep doing.

Canelo doesn't need Golovkin. He's already participated in the third highest grossing PPV of all time. He's had his Super Fight, when will Golovkin? Oh that's right he needs Canelo for that to happen, right or Wrong?

He just did a Chicken Bowe when Bowe avoided Lewis.

Nothing to applaud. Only shame to be seen here.
