Canelo’s best days, easily, will come out at 160.

    At MW he'll be fighting guys weigh in at 170 + on fight night just like him and his power might not care as well.

    maybe but power isnt everything. his combos can stop fighters for reals. if u look at the way Trout and lara fight, nobody fights like that at 160. if they want to stand and get down. Canelo's spped and acuracy will punish fighters

    A couple things.

    One, Canelo is 5'9" not 5'7" and if I recall correctly has 23 1/2" arms now. He will be fine at MW physically

    Two, he should actually improve because he wont be killing himself making the weight. More time training, less time squeezing water from his body. People often underestimate the upsides of moving up in weight when your body really needs to, and Canelo's body has needed to move up for a while now. His stamina is also likely to drastically improve and his mobility with it.

    At his age and motivation level, its not that I think the current Canelo dominates 160 but I think he can and will continue to improve.
