You're attempting obfuscate and muddy the waters and distract from my original point. I was comparing NOTHING. Merely stating that the outcomes in matches are NOT preordained. no matter how much you try to convince yourself of that delusion. The ref cannot protect someone who's being beaten without fouls and at range, the corrupt refs can only do so much. KO's are a part of boxing. You do understand that right? Yes, even fighters that aren't supposed to be KO'd.

It's you who's not only personally wrong, but delusional.

I hope you know that the odds for a prize fight are not merely a reflection of the talent level of the combatants.

There are all sorts of subjective things involved in any fight (the venue, referee, ringsize etc.) especially a big fight like this that might effect the outcome, especially if it goes to the judges... yeah (I’ll stop there, lol)

That the very good small man is a 4-1 favorite over the very good bigger man tells you all you need to know about who the odds are stacked in-favor of, and against.

No, Kovalev is not number 1 at lhw anymore. At this point Bivol, Gvozdik and Betterbiev are favourites to beat him.

Lol I kinda started thinking this way myself when Wilder fought Ortiz but soon changed my mind after eight rounds and Wilder nearly getting stopped.
Maybe there is some scope on the cards, ref and venue but boxing is too real to fake.Canelo and his gains are not natural so fighting at his absolute optimum is gonna be so hard on his stamina.Im not convinced those two wars with Golovkin won’t have weakened him either?

It's possible, but how will he nullify Kov's jab? In order to get to that soft body of Kov, the jab will need to be holstered. I really don't see that happening. Canelo had fits against the G jab and Kov's jab is damn near as good, only longer. I am picking Kovalev to take this one.

I would pick Kovalev by KO, but there's been something off about this one from the start. It feels wrong.

If its legit, Kov KOs him.

I'd bet it's much more likely that Canelo wins in a very unsavory and suspicious manner.

Do folk really think Kovalev is gonna roll around on the floor like Oscar v Hopkins?
Kovalev made Ward look super ordinary at range under normal boxing, only Wards rough house tactics stopped him being demolished.Canelo doesn’t rough house his opponents and I love him for that but against Kovalev he’s gonna be beaten to the jab and forced to reset himself.
I think folk will be surprised how few rounds Canelo will win here.

And let me second that. Canelo is a clean fighter, he doesn't stoop to nutshots, thumbs, butts, takedowns etc etc. He gets the job done in the ring, at least, within the rules; respect from me too for that.

CST80 is actually closer to your opinion than you might think. However, with that attitude you aren't going to make any friends. You have picked a strange battle to fight :tiburon:

I think this fight is all wrong for Canelo! People are counting out Kova for no reason! He will be on his best shape! In my opinion he beats AB boxing smart right now! Only thread for him is bivol and is because of styles

History says you’re wrong. There’s only so much advantage being the A side can give you, at the end of the day both guys have to climb between the ropes and duke it out. There are countless examples over the years of the money man getting upset by the underdog, Joshua is not far behind Canelo in terms of worth to DAZN, why would they let him lose in the most embarrassing way possible to a portly, much shorter non-champ if everything was within their control?

Nobody is gonna be in the ring helping him slip Kovalevs jab and get inside, nobodies gonna be there soaking up punishment for him, this is all on Canelo. There are thousands of variables in a fight, and only so much the A side can control.
