None of them was committed to work with their jab except Virgil Hill but Roy Jones was a legit Light Heavyweight, his size was decent compared to Hill also Jones was a way more skilled fighter, way more faster and with matched power while Virgill was only good and did not have anywhere near the power or precision of Kovalev. Lalonde was very limited and then quit boxing to become a model. I see Tarver more as a fighter who wanted to land his big left hand (he jabs with the right) more than anything else. John Ruiz again, not committed to work with the jab, looking at Roy Jones the whole night and clinching.

I believe the perfect example of what we gonna see with Kovalev Canelo is in the fight Dorin versus Gatti:

I haven't been in denial about Canelo as much as the 90% of you all have but I will say that I thought he would have no success above 160 back when he was at 154. If he beats Kovalev, which I'm leaning to, lump me among those that were wrong about him back then.

    If*
And if it is a clean win, then he deserves all the credit in the world.
He'll be pfp number 1, be a 3 weight world champion, 2 simultaneously, with the best win in boxing.

He'll be both fighter of the year and decade

The thing is if it's close and can go either way and Canelo gets a draw or gets the decision, the Canelo haters are going to claim "robbery " just like in the ggg fights, And if Canelo stops him, the same people that are picking Kova to win or saying Canelo is too small, are going to be saying Kova was "shot old 36" , those excuses never fail.

****in idiot... that's exactly what you do. Any close fight for Canelo, you say he won. Any close fight w/ 3G, he lost...

If you believe this, you are even stupider and more a little ***** who cries about fans posts than anyone could have conceived. You know no one would ever say this, but hey, you're Incel... this is expected from you.

I think you read it wrong.

He was saying that if he was to beat Ruiz haters wouldn't give him any credit, not that he actually thinks he'd beat Ruiz

i wouldn’t compare Canelo to Toney. James was a much better boxer in every way. The only thing he lacked is discipline, mainly diet. He went up because he ate himself out of his natural weight. James had ATG skills in his time but struggled with weight. Before the RJJ fight, word is Toney had to drop major weight. He looked slow and tired from the start. Prime Roy was great but I suspect Toney would have given him a much better fight if he wasn’t drained from losing so much weight right before the fight. Either way, Toney was levels higher than Canelo in the skills dept. Canelo is very disciplined and comes into each fight in great shape. That’s the only thing he has over big James. I do not see Canelo staying at LHW because the other top guys are too dangerous. He chose the best opponent, a faded Kov. Artur would be way too dangerous and I suspect he’d walk through Canelo and possibly hurt him.

For the record, I hate these kinds of fights and hated the Mikey Spence fight as well. Let guys fight at their natural weight. Maybe go up a division once in a while or if they outgrow the weight, but it’s always best when guys fight at their natural weight. I wish Toney could have stayed at his natural weight because he was a special talent. Not so much at LHW or HW but he was skilled enough to beat some bigger guys. Overall, I consider his career a royal waste of a great talent.

I understood that. I just disagree. If Canelo actually moved to HW and fought Ruiz, sure some haters would talk ****. But who the **** cares and puts so much worth in to what haters say? **** what haters say....

    A little something to consider.....

    Fonfara KO'd Chavez
    Loma KO'd Rigo
    Spence bludgeoned Mikey
    GGG destroyed Brook
    Cano smashed Linares
    Zerafa smashed Horn
    Hopkins dominated Pavlik
    Canelo decapitated Khan
    Walters battered Donaire
    Sor Rungvisai wrecked Chocolatito
    Mayweather schools Marquez

For all the people who say that Kovalev is the same size as Jacobs.
