So guys like Golovkin (second fight), Jacobs, Cotto, Lara, Trout, ect, couldn't convincingly beat a guy with mediocre footwork?

No skill is the most important if you can be as successful as Canelo has been, against the level of opposition hes fought, while being mediocre at it.

Either he's better at it than you think, or its not as important as you think.

    ...

Sidenote. Individual traits and singular skills dont matter as much as people think. The effectiveness of the fighter with their combined traits and skillsets is, really, all that matters, if its proven against the appropriate (world and elite) level of opposition.

I only picked the first name from your list.. and everything I see from him says he had it a draw.

    Tyson :
“I was rooting for Canelo, but it was a draw. That was a good call,”said Mike Tyson to Fighthub in talking about the Canelo vs. Golovkin fight. “We’ll have to see,” Tyson said when asked who will win the Canelo-Golovkin rematch.

Literally the second person from that list I went to check was David Haye.

    ....

'Despite many being outraged by the draw verdict last time out, Haye also feels that fight fans were the true victors.

He explained: “I don’t feel the draw in the first fight between Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez was the best decision the judges could have made on the night.

“I, personally, had a couple of rounds in GGG’s favour..."

    ...

Says he scored it for Golovkin.

The first two names I checked of that list, I not only dont find a source saying they scored it for Canelo, I instead find sourced direct quotes saying the opposite.

I am big Lara fan, He fought a close fight with Canelo. He was robbed a decision against Paul Williams. But he is pleasure to watch.

It's just personal preference but ring has Loma #1.. & the subject is more nuanced than just resume. Canelo did himself huge damage with the ped scandal & Oscars cooked cards.. He & his promoter stack the cards & age fighters out! Why do u think they mentioned SK over the likes of Bivol or Beterbiev? Full respect if they go for Smith tho..

If Canelo was #1 on ring, you'd claim he was only ring #1 because Ring is owned by GBP. But since Loma's ring #1 that suddenly means something ?

He displayed elite level footwork in the first fight with GGG, so then why did you say he has mediocre footwork ? That in your argument was preventing him from being P4P #1, which he showed vs GGG in their first bout.

He didn't feel the need to get roided out of his eyeballs, your saying that doesn't make it true. Trace amounts of clenbuterol a substance commonly found in Mexican meat 3 months before the rematch ≠ being roided let alone roided out of his eyeballs.

@IsaL believes that Canelo ate tainted beef. Nuff said. Oh, and he once took a knee on this forum.
