its inevitable that canelo is eventually going to have to move up to 160. possibly my next year sometime, but he won't and should not rush into a fight w ggg. canelo should fight a few fights to test himself at 160 before he throws himself into the lions den.

i would love to see how canelo does at MW, the kid is still very young and if he can continue to improve i have high hopes for him, but he needs to stop draining/fooling himself at 154 and 155 catchweights. make the move up to 160 canelo, the time is near!!!

He gets beat up by most at 160.

canelo would beat andrade and would beat lara even worse in a rematch. lara would know he can't run and if he tries to trade w canelo he will get dropped and hurt worse than he did against angulo. perhaps a lara rematch could be at 160 w the winner eventually facing ggg.

Canelo should stay at 154 and I find it ironic ( not saying op) that a lot of GGG fans are saying he has to move up and stop ducking GGG but when you mention fighters at 168 they say GGG can't duck fighters not in his weight division. Canelo should stay at 154 I don't see his power going up!

maybe he needs a better nutritionist, he is having a hard time making 154 which shouldn't be that hard at his age and height. he is a big strong kid and could be a beast if he could keep his weight down year round like mayweather does.

Well GGG isn't the one struggling to make weight and making up his own division(s) along the way. But yes, whatever power Canelo has left, isn't going to translate into 160. If anything, his stamina would improve by moving up.

Well there's a difference between him letting himself go and being able to be an effective fighter at an elite level at 160. He needs to get his discipline in line because he isn't going to be nearly effective at 160. He is already struggling with the top of 154. I know the top of 160 isn't necessarily as talented but his physicality keeps him ahead in a lot of fights and he would lose much of that at 160.

He wont have success at 160 , But then again all Canelo has to do is win 4 rounds and that's enough for Oscar to step in and secure him a victory .

Canelos last fight prove that .

Well, he's coming into the ring at a LHW vs guys wieghing about 165 come fightnight.

He's definitely draining himself or he wouldnt be gassing so badly in his fights.

There's no more $$$$ fights for him at 154, and he's got huge upside if he moves to MW and takes out guys like Eubank Jr and Daniel Jacobs and wins some titles there before finally going N to 168 where he is presently suited to fight at.:think

154? he fights at a new weight now, 155 because he can't go lower without hurting himself even more

Certain people overrate him , but I don't personally feel hes overatted .

Canelo is one of the best fighters in the world .

The talent is definitely there , He just needs to continue to develop and stay dedicated .

He's already solid now , I can only imagine how great he can be a few years from now .

GGG has no problem with 160lbs while Canelo's next fight is at 155 and his last 2 or 3 fights were also at catchweight.

Golden Boy are probably delaying his move up in weight till they can secure him a title fight (probably with Lemieux)
