    Canelo: 163.8

    and this was GGG's 30 day weigh-in

    GGG: 164.0

Also note that Canelo was 168 for the Cotto weigh in, so this is a drained Canelo at 164.

How exactly is a catchweight necessary when they walk around the same weight? What a joke.

Why can't GGG fight Canelo @ 155 if he is so small and the same size if not smaller than Canelo?

Canelo has never fought @ 160 and GGG is apparently a tiny middleweight that could easily make 155?

I'll give you a clue GGG cut 15 lbs for his 30 day weigh in to appear much smaller than he is, GGG can barely make 160lbs let alone 155. GGG would be a decent sized 168er if he fought in that division

I asked this question before but nobody answered me (and maybe fair enough as most of us aren't professional boxers).

IF CANELO FIGHTS AT 170+ WHY IS HE 163 OR 164 30 DAYS BEFORE THE FIGHT.

The dehydration process doesn't take 30+ days, it takes about a week. The only reason Canelo would be lighter now than fight night is (a) he actually bulks up for the fight (unlikely) or (b) he drains himself for the 30 day weigh in (why?).

    Canelo doesn't look drained whatsoever.

Canelo looks in great shape. I bet he can still make 154. I feel like maybe he is trying to come in lighter for this fight since Khan will come in trying to outspeed him IMO

I don't know why but my guess is they want to appear smaller so as to attempt to rank higher on P4P lists (even though they fight in certain division's). Appearing lighter can also give you a ready made excuse to not move up and stay fighting in lower divisions where you have a size advantage over your competitors.

If the guy would just fight at 160 he would be doing his body a favor. C'mon man taking off another 10 pounds is crazy.

Who cares about titles, Cotto beat it from a 1 legged Martinez. Martinez got it from idiot Chavez. Golovkin should just accept 155 and knock ginger out.

If it wasn't for titles and they wanted to fight at a catch weight then I'd be down with that but it's not even a meet me in the middle weight. It's a I will come in at my weight all the whilst draining you down to in reality what would be the 154lb division.

I don't see how Canelo is going to work out his defences when he seems to refuse entertaining defending the 160 title against actual 160 fighters.

    He's a fraud.
