Your whole argument revolves around the fact that 154 is within the limit of an established weight class, therefore it is not a catch-weight. But fights within a weight limit for the purpose of accommodating one fighters size disadvantage is a catch-weight. I don't understand why you're so blind to that point.

It even says it in your cute wikipedia reference which I showed you.

Martinez v.s. Alvarez should be next.

    Precisely

I'm not blind to it. That point is incorrect. It's not a catchweight if it's at a standard weight limit. That wiki page gives a specific definition of what it is in the first paragraph.

Again, it's referring to catchweight fights (between standard weight limits)

You're digging a hole here man. We all make mistakes, it's no big deal.

Could PBF be going Cotto, Canelo, (beating the top two guys at LMW) Serg . . . and skip Pac all together? The problem with Serg is that he doesn't bring anything to the table. Ortrees has a much bigger following out there for christ sake.

Don't try to make this point. A fight at 154 pounds is not a catch weight. We can make poll if you wish :)

You're the ****ing **** here. A fight at a weight limit of 154 is a LMW fight, not a catchweight fight.

Any fight that IS set at a weight limit that ISN'T the weight limit for an Official weight class is A CATCH-WEIGHT FIGHT.

e.g. Pacquiao fought Cotto at a CATCH WEIGHT of 145 for the Welterweight title because the welterweight limit is 147 but the fight was capped at 145 (i.e. not capped at the official limit for a welterweight fight).

Mayweather vs. Martinez at 154 would NOT be a catch-weight fight. PERIOD.

...And no, it doesn't matter that Sergio currently fights at 160. If he comes down to 154 to fight, he'll be fighting at LMW. If the weight limit stipulated in their contract is anywhere between the standard weight classes then it is a catchweight fight.

A tune up after a three month stint would be absolutely ridiculous. But this if floyd, so I guess it's not out of the realm of possible. Of course, IF that was the case (big IF), it would be sold as some legit bout I'm sure.
