    Ive always favored Golovkin to do a 7 round demolition job on Canelo.... but Canelo continues to improve (imo) and his physical prowess also continues to peak (again, just imo) and hate to say it but Golovkin looks on the slide to me (not because of the manner in which he fought Brook, that was a styles thing, he chose to fight that way, I am specifically talking about his physical sharpness and ability - speed, form, ect) and lately Ive started to see how Canelo could give Golovkin a much better fight than was previously the case.

    Basically, I see Golovkin on the slide a bit, and Canelo at his peak, and the fight is a bit more interesting to me now. I obviously would still pick G to win this, if they fight within 18 months or so, but at some point their trajectories will cross. I just hope they fight before then.

    Two years ago I would say G dusts Canelo in about 6 rounds.... now I think Canelo can make it to the 10th while also giving Golovkin some good work. In a year and a half Id have to evaluate their recent performances and judge then, but at some point I'm sure I will pick Canelo to beat Golovkin simply due to age and declining form (happens to everyone).

    Such is the benefit of being so much younger than your main rival. And Canelos people know this.

    And for the record the superbly written Kovalev article by same author was unbelievably spot on only shame on CST80 for not predicting the home town decision lol.

    I feel since this was written the goal posts are somewhat nearer although since then knock outs of Khan and Liam Smith don't shift Canelo to Favourite esp as he still shows the same thing after five rounds,could be those brutal weigh cuts though and if anything I expect 160 he ought to have more energy?
