I can. There's only a 6 pound gap in between and Canelo has a big frame, I think he'd do quite well against any of the MW'S out there, and alot of people seem to think so too. Let's remember one thing, Lemieux has already lost to two Junior MW'S in Rubio and Alcine, and those two are not on the level of Canelo Alvarez. I think Canelo beats Lemieux.

Naww, Canelo wont beat Lemuieux . Those theories don't mean anything and you and I both know it.
Tarver was defeated by Harding who was nowhere near the caliber of Roy Jones Jr . Therefore Tarver cannot beat Roy Jones . Right ???
Wrong . Tarver knocked Roy out in just 2 rounds with 1 punch.
    Lemuieux batters Canelo.
Until Canelo moves up and finally fights a full fledged MW and show me something . He's not getting my pick against any of the top MWs.

I only mentioned that as an example because you stated Canelo had no fights at 160 and would probably lose because he's never fought a true MW. But Lemieux did lose to two Jr middles, so I really can't say Canelo isn't capable of doing the same.. just my opinion bro. Well just agree to disagree on this topic!

I favor Canelo over Leniuex. But it won't be easy.

Those loses were growing pains, they shouldn't be factors when considering Canelos chances in the fight. Lean towards him slightly though.... Also Rubio is a good sized Middleweight, he's campaigned at MW and above for over a decade now.

Yep Canelo has more problems than just Golovkin.....He can not keep fighting a drained Chavez or keep cherry Picking fights at Catch weight.....it's only a matter of time before real Boxing Fan's wake up to this and drop off Him...

Don't write off JCC Jr. either, I'm leaning towards the upset here actually, he won't be as drained as everyone thinks he'll be, Julio made weight with no issue in his last fight, and he hasn't blown up afterward like he usually does, and his gastank held up, so he may not even have to struggle this time.

Chavez can beat Himself....if he had Golovkins work ethic Canelo would be in Big Trouble...to much of a Party Boy I think but the fight still will be interesting.!!!!

For sure. If Chavez isn't a waking corpse come fight night then he'll have a shot here, easier said then done though.

Not saying canelo WILL beat him but it's a pick em fight from here on out. The real reason I replied is because your opinions are confusing as to how you came to those conclusions.

Canelo HAS power, that's a fact.
And kirkland always had a weak chin but Ishida didn't truly tko him, it was a tko by the book, 3kd rule. He was stunned at best during his weakest moments during that couple mins.

I'd have to hold off until that fight really is viable, then signed and only then can I make the correct pick.

I don't see how you can fault Canelo for not fighting a top MW when Lemiuex has never beaten a top MW. I get some criticism for Alvarez he can fight anybody even still not one top 160 or 54 for that matter had a better overall year or beat better comp.

I especially love the part where Kirkland can't even push the ref off of him while on the canvas :risas3:
But but but, he was just off balance...
