Every fight is different, and Canelo will beat GGG or go out on his shield trying. GGG has not fought anyone on the level of Canelo. This is a fact. How good is GGG really? Nobody knows until he faces a true test, and Canelo is that test.

Unfortunately for Canelo he's not fought anyone on GGG's level either, GGG had stylistically stiffer tests than Canelo in the amateurs and beat them with relative ease. This will not even be competitive, but I agree Canelo will definitely go out on his shield................... by round 3.:hey

He's fought someone far higher than the GGG level in Floyd. I think you mean he hasn't "beat" anyone on a GGG level.

Yeah that's what I meant, but I wouldn't call Floyd far higher.

I've never seen GGG go life and death with someone like Maidana, and yes from a pure skill perspective most of GGG's recent opponents are superior to Chino.

Under Garcia Maidana went life and death with Lopez and Soto-Karass. And the Broner win looks a lot less impressive after Porter shut him out for 11 rounds as opposed 6 or 7 like Maidana did. He was the same caveman he was before. And Rosado didn't have any problems whatsoever against Soto-Karass did he?:yep

Geale is incredibly skilled, Murray , Ouma, Adama and Monroe all have a decent skill set, Maidana is Macklin/Lemieux level, and that's even debatable.

No one close to a Garcia Maidana during the Broner/Floyd fights. Also Floyd won 8-4 and 10-2. So I wouldnt really call that going life and death.

Also let's take into count how many fouls Maidana did against floyd, it was not a boxing fight. None of GGG's opponents has ever brought that kind of heat to Golovkin. Mua thai knees, biting, rabbit punching, half of that fight was not a boxing match. There's a reason Floyd school Pac 10-2, and lost 4 rounds against Maidana in the 1st fight. Pac is far better than Maidana.

The reason why Pacquiao lost is because he's a real boxer and not a skill-less caveman like Maidana which is the style which usually gives Floyd problems.

Maidana isn't skill less. Not everyone can do what Maidana does, he's one of the best dirty boxers post bhop.

With only an eighth of BHop's skill.

And Bhop is only an eigth as dirty. Bhop was more subtle about his dirtiness, Maidana will bite, muai thai knee, you when the ref is watching.

BHop is the Ric Flair of Boxing, he's slick in more ways than one, the ref never catches it.

The problem with Maidana's style is that he'd eventually start getting points and DQed for it. That's why it was probably smart for him to retire. Bhop was subtle about it that the refs couldnt see most of it. Same as salido. Maidana's fouls are just so blatantly obvious.
