If it is not mayweather he is fighting he can not lose at 154 to anybody.

Alvarez cannot lose at 154 because he doesn't fight true 154lb opponents. His last two fights were a WW and LW.

It is possible he could beat anybody at the weight including Mayweather, but he has mostly fought little guys so far. He needs to fight Lara or Molina to prove himself. Knocking out small welterweights does nothing.

Agree, only Floyd can beat him, and maybe Lara (and that's a big ¨maybe¨)

Canelo brutalizes everyone else including Cotto, that's why the boricua is shamelessly ducking him

He won the title, which was vacant by fighting a WW.

id like to see him clean out the division first before i jump the gun. lara, kirkland and molina
would be good enough for me. hell even 2 out of the 3 and then cotto, golden boy will push him inch by inch i think. he has a ppv coming up it want be mayweather or cotto so lets see who they pick for him.hope it someone good.

If they carry on developing him as they are (in other words, protecting him), then no doubt, noone will be able to touch him. It's also worth remembering that the 154 division is a pretty poor one. It's best fighters are ones that aren't even natural 154 pounders - Cotto and Mayweather being his hardest foes. The latter he'll lose to because of his inexperience, and the former he'll only win because he's far bigger than him.

Mayweather would school him. Other then that, its possible he wont be beat at the weight for awhile. Its not a very good division at the moment. Its best fighter went up to middle, its other two best fighters from welterweight, the other most dangerous fighter is having legal issues, and the others are solid contenders but nothing too out of the ordinary for top contenders .

So ya I can see canelo ruling 154 for awhile. Needs to make the fights that prove it though.

Canelo should move up in weight to 160.

If he can be rocked, he can be beat. Canelo is good but dont over hype him just yet.
