And Golden Boy did everything in their power to ensure a Canelo victory. Hometown judges filled out the scorecard before the fight started. All Canelo had to do was not get knocked out.

In hindsight it was a stupid move, but at the same time i can see why Khan did it.

Many people try to claim Bradley ducked Khan when he turned down the 1.4M payday to fight the more dangerous and higher ranked Pacquiao for 5+M one year later.

Those same people feel Khan ducked Alexander in an effort to get the Mayweather fight and payday. However, I tend to believe they would disagree and find a childish excuse as to why their opinion on both matters is correct and non-hypocritical.

And Trout doesn't have much power at all, so zero risk there. Alexander has a bit more, more than enough for glass chinned Khan.

 

Technically both fights were ducks. In both cases it wasn't really a fight Pac or Floyd INSTEAD OF... It was fight PAC or FLOYD AFTER. So really just a business decision that fans hate... but would do in a second if they were in Khan or Bradleys shoes.
