The kid is barely 20 man, give him a break. He's no Benitez, but he's no bum either. Rigondeaux and the majority of the Cuban's are top Olympic boxers with some of the best amateur pedigree's around and have been fighting there most of their lives. By the time they start fighting pro most of them are already in their primes mid-late 20's and will fight for a world title with a 13-0 record. Canelo was brought up the Mexican way where pro fights mattered more than amateur and start fighting pros when they are 15-16 yrs old. I don't care how great any 20yr old is you don't throw him in with the lions just yet. You should know better.

So the guy might not be a P4P guy but he can fight and is a draw. Accept him for who he is and be grateful that boxing has a young star in the making, look at fighters like Hopkins and Dawson. Sure they are very talented but stink the place out every time, this guy doesn't have that talent but he brings it.

I'll take a Canelo type fighter any day of the week instead of a slick black boring American.

Black Americans put more guys in the HOF than mexicans...despite being out numbered by 100 million people:rofl

Alvarez is all HOPE and HYPE.:deal

He was almost KTFO by Cotto's light-punching Brother.

He'll make a lot of money because ya'll are so hard-up for a mexican hero...but he will never be anything great:hi:

He plans to fight at WW and that's a good move. Kirkland shouldn't be mentioned with Alvarez. That's a murder right there

Kirkland has been in jail for over a year and we don't know how he is physically, and he has never been in with a big hitter to really test his chin, because he has no defense. His defense is so bad he makes Hatton look like Sweet Pea.

Yup and I would rather see Gatti fight any day of the week then boring ass Chad Dawson/safety first Mayweather/Clinch fest Hopkins/Mosley.

Naw just speaking the truth, why do you think nobody supports slick black Americans? They are by far the worst draws in the sport, not even African Americans support them.

And it's not about color, James Kirkland is a beast. I would pay to watch him every day of the week, also Tavoris Cloud.

Yes, because Floyd Mayweather fights like a robotic white boy or a face first brawling asian.
