Broner not making weight was unprofessional but its funny how there are so many people bashing Broner for not making weight but ignoring how Canelo didn't make for his title fight with Hatton (who was moving up from welterweight) it was an agreed weight of 150. Canelo weighed in 1.8 lbs over and came into the ring at 165.

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=293721 - thread after weigh-in of Canelo

people saw the fight as a big enough joke. Alvarez fight was also catchweight at 150 - broner had no low catchweight

people more pissed about the commision getting 10% of the canelo fine - instead of all of it going to hatton

Really doesn't matter 1 pound over or 10 pounds, it's still not making weight. That fight was a joke to begin with, much like all of Canelo's opponents have been since he became champion.

I'm not hating on Canelo or Broner, but no one should be giving either a pass. Or using the excuse of " well he didn't make weight either... " to justify the unprofessionalism of a fighter.

Both have great talent and have the potential to be dominant fighters, but I ain't ready to give either thier proper dues just yet.

canelo wasnt posting pics of twinkies and mcdonalds on a twitter page like that big dummy broner. and then saying "im a growing boy, what does mcdonalds have to do with not making weight?" Broner is a A plus fighter as well as an A plus dumb ass

I agree that's just shows lack of respect, but let's not use Broners antics as an excuse to give any other fighter a pass for failing to make weight.
