Nah he has great head movement; However, it was non existent versus Bivol. A lot of his boxing skills were missing that night. he tried to dominate & Walk down the bigger man with no jab or head movement. & never wavered from that plan as ineffective as Bivol rendered it. he effed up. Congrats to Bivol.
Yes and No. Clenelo was always very good in avoiding straight jabs to the head. But he struggles a lot with speed and quick combos.
Alvarez has GREAT head movement but it was non-existent in the Bivol fight because he got tired....thank to Bivol upping the pace on him. Bivol had a game plan going into this fight, Alvarez didn't.
His granite chin helps make his head movement look better than what it is. He has eaten flush punches from some heavy hitters and just ate them.
Crazy part is he tried to execute the same exact gameplan that he used against Smith, BJS and Plant. This shows the difference in Bivol’s level compared to those guys. Bivol’s team did a great job at film study for this fight and Bivol executed it perfectly. Canelo practically became a power punch pot shotter at SMW and expected that same style to work against Bivol.
