Canelo's the highest paid boxer in the world earning a total of $28.5 mill, ranked 43rd in Forbes list. Next is Anthony Joshua $22 mill at 89th Last is Wladimir Klitschko $21.5 at 98th Now we know why GGG wanted to fight Canelo, he's not even listed. And for those that said AJ made more money than Canelo, you were dead wrong.
Does that include endorsements though? I'm sure AJ would be doing better than Canelo there. Regardless - both worked hard. Good for them!
That's including endorsements. Anthony Joshua: $18.5 Salary Mill + $3.5 Mill Endorsements Total: $22 Mill Canelo Alvarez: $27 Mill Salary + $1.5 Mill Endorsements Total: $28.5 Mill
Shouldn't these earning lists come out in January, so all sporters had a full year to get their earnings? Or is this taken from May to May or June to June for instance? Kinda confusing, and certainly in boxing that can make quite a difference when taking calender years or mid year to mid year measurements. For instance, say Floyd did have a fight in 2016... making 80 million on May 7th, and is planning his next fight at September 16th this year, expecting another 80+ million. They measure the period between June 1st 2016 and June 1st 2017... And Floyd's earnings in that timeperiod would be absolutely ZERO! But if they take the year 2016 as a whole, it would mean his earnings would be 80 million, making him the biggest earner that year. So, how does this work?!
Damn!! If I had that money I would be Tyson Fury, Mike Tyson, and Wilt Chamberlain deep in cocaine and hookers. Good for Joshua and Canelo for keeping it together at such a young age. I would have crapped out after a Klitschko payday too. Imagine waking up to 20 mil? I would never sleep , because of the coke of course.
How many advertisements to you see Froid doing ??? ROFL Can you imagine it ErrErr like I said before use err ?? What that big word with a lot of letters
Canelo could have easily top next year highest earning as well with his blockbuster with GGG later this year, IF not for the upcoming big FARCE involving 2 undefeated boxers SMH..
