cotto and canelo would be the biggest fight in boxing if the two prima donna pussies don't fight. given the whole pr-mexico rivalry and they probably are the most well known boxers from their own respective countries. if they fight they need to do it by the end of 2012 otherwise after that people will say cotto was old and shot if he loses.
I don't think he fights Cotto next with the GBP/Top Rank problems but that is a good fight to make at the right time. I don't think he faces Kirklad either, I thought the Kirkland-Molina winner had to face Martiroysan for the mandatory so he wouldn't get to Kirkland(if ever) til late this year at best. Alvarez probably fights Mosley and that would be a smart move on his part I could also see him facing someone lke Delvin Rodriguez as well.
Someone tell Rico they have had their guys go against one another. Not to mention, Arum, you know, the guy who protects ALL his guys and supposedly WON'T work with GBP, tried for Canelo vs. JCCjr. GBP was the one who asked to meet at 157, killing it for now.
I would expect Canelo vs. Angulo to be made before any of those, now that he's been stopped by Kirkland.
I also don't know if even Golden Boy would want this for Canelo. If Kirkland wins, he's a golden boy fighter so good for them but he doesn't have the crossover appeal like Canelo. Canelo should be the favorite, but Kirkland vs. anyone at 154 is dangerous. If you can't hurt Kirkland (and sometimes even if you can) he has that power to put you out. If over 6 rounds with him, win or lose your going to the hospital immediately afterwards.
