ortiz is too small at 154, williams was on the decline

there are plenty of worthy opponents out there for canelo, GB would rather protect him though

lara is boring with no fans?

    okay.

I would love to see Canelo-Lara next to be honest but we all know that won't happen.

He is nowhere near ready for Money May yet but a Cotto fight would be excellent. We would get to see how good Cotto really is at 154 and we'd see how Canelo handles a very skilled opponent who isn't completely shot. My favorite option is a fight with Kirkland. It has no chance of being a stinker and given Kirkland's standing as the biggest Glass Jawed Fraud in the sport we are guaranteed a savage KO.

Canelo vs Cotto would be drama filled and just plain ol awsome. The young man may not have the same level of exp and skill Cotto has but he's physical abilities make him an automatic problem. I beleive someone mentioned this earlier in the thread, if Canelo can up him workrate and pressure to equal that of a young Margo he could put the breaks on Cotto though I don't think he's completely built like that. Cotto could just circle him jab him and counter all night long if his conditioning is as good as it looked in the Floyd fight.

Well that depends, I mean fighters tend to dump titles when they unify, perhaps GBPs relationship with the WBC may be why, Trout did ask for VADA testing

I never said easy, but Canelo will come out the winner...in an Early competitive fight, but Canelo's pressure, power, size, body work and youth will be to much as the fight progresses.. Cotto will not be looking to pressure, as that will just get him a big counter which he would not love, I see it as cotto trying to Outbox Canelo because styles makes fights, he chose to pressure mayweather as that was the best style to defeat May, he chose to stay on the outside and box his way to a win against Mayorga,Magarito, and the jew church guy... because that style suited him well to defeat his opposite.

So Canelo will be the one doing the pressuring, and Cotto looking to outbox, I see it as an early competitive fight, but Cotto at this point doesn't do so well when being pressured, also in a smart way with heard power combos to body and dome, a faded Margo was catching up to cotto at the time of the stoppage.

Just My opinion on how I see it going...

Canelo is ready for Cotto, not for mayweather :deal

    oh realllllllyyy :patsch

so why did they ask cotto to fight Canelo in september which COtto declined?
    they were just playing?

Canelo is ready for Cotto, not for mayweather. Cotto is there for taking if GBP are willing to allow the high risk high reward, but seeing as they were trying to get cotto in there on September they also know that this is an even fight with canelo having some very good advantages coming in.
