im saying canelo isnt gonna be durable enough. ggg is gonna break him down and get him outta there i dont think canelo is gonna hold up agaisnt ggg onslaught. however tho canelo is durable just not durable enough.

 

Lack of punching power isn't the only reason why fighters fail to KO opponents.

Other factors such as:

1. Defensive abilities
2. Offensive skills

can prevent a strong puncher who is unskilled from using his power to advantage. How many powerful punchers have been neutralized by the Floyd Mayweather defensive skills? So using that 20% as KO ratio evidence that the fighter who was knocked out is glass jawed isn't 100% foolproof evidence of a brittle jow. The unskilled fighter could have been lucky and got through the as Rahman got through against Lewis' once and knocked him out cold because Lewis became temporarily careless. Rahman failed to KO Ruiz because Ruiz nullified that punching power. Had Ruiz left his jaw up in the air it would have been Rahman Lewis all over again. So it doesn't mean that Ruiz had a better jaw than Lewis. All factors must be objectively evaluated.

The Chin is the 2nd line of defense. Even Willie Pep got punched in the face. So telling me that a fighter gets KOed by an opponent with a 20% KO rate because they have bad defense makes no sense. Kirkland is a Glass Jawed fighter. There really isn't anything to debate on that. Oscar wanted to try and fool the public into thinking Canelo was a 'puncher' by lining up two handpicked Glass Jawed opponents. It didn't fool many people except for the extremely gullible. Much like anything Oscar does.
