    This entire post was predicated on Canelo being the aggressor. It was 100% wrong.

    If only the thread starter could admit that not only did he not expect Canelo to box, but that he also won, he would be able to redeem himself.

    thanks man. I admit that I underestimated Canelo's defense and overrated Trout's a little. One thing about Canelo in the fight was that he was unpredictable. He came in looking different and Trout even said that himself.

    Plus Canelo's punches were unpredictable because since he wasn't throwing much especially early on, I would get caught off guard just sitting on my couch whenever he'd throw


    I still think Trout won, but Canelo wasn't as aggressive as I thought he'd be. I noted in the OP that he wasn't much of a pressure fighter to begin with though, but I guess he didn't need to in order to get an (official) decision

    Look man, it was a close but clear fight.

    You know, I know it, Trout knows it, everyone knows it.

    It's a not a big deal. The majority of people thought Donaire would beat Rigo, including me.

    A man with 11 fights beating a guy with Donaire's experience and skill? No way.

    But it happened.

    I was wrong. I can admit that. Why can't you?

    I'll watch the fight again if it makes yall feel better, but when I watched it, I scored it 115-112 Trout. Trout knew if the fight was close at all coming in, then Canelo would get the nod

    Canelo sure as hell surprised everyone by showing incredible defense. As someone mentioned, even Trout was surprised. I like how everyone was so sure Canelo would lose come fight night.

    Canelo was visibly faster than Trout, so him dodging Austin's non-commited jabs and single shots, didn't impress me much. Put him in with someone of comparable speed, he'll eat shots like always.
