Canelo Alvarez is NOT beating Austin Trout

C'mon homie! Age doesn't matter? Of course it matters. It matter in every sport. That's why there's a thing called PRIME. That's why you live and learn. You need experience. Prime isn't just physical but also mental. It's also not an excuse. Everything I stated is a FACT. Now if you disagree that age doesn't matter in sports, then I guess we'll leave it as that. It's pointless for me to argue about that.

I don't care if you're a bum in the streets, if you're given the opportunity to fight for a title, YOU WILL TAKE IT! Unless you're a complete fool. Plus, why cry about the inevitable? That's the way the game is. Canelo isn't the first and wont be the last to do this. It's smarter to take young fighters at a pace. And yes, it isn't fair since he has a belt. But like I said, that's the way the game goes. He isn't the first and wont be the last. At least he didn't wait until he was 27 to fight an undefeated Champion like Trout. Or should we criticize him for that also?

 

Cotto did try, I remember that. My point was more that Cotto has shorter arms, less handspeed/power, and is a converted southpaw who wrecked his right shoulder in a car accident years ago. At any rate, his right hand is weak and would be/is disregarded as a serious threat by most opponents. Canelo actually is right-handed, and I think it's a safe bet he hits Trout with it more and Trout actually feels it, unlike Cotto's weak right hand.

Many people mention Trout's high workrate, but I think this would favor Canelo by giving him openings and counterpunching chances. Lara, though I'm not a fan of his, is very skilled, sticks to the plan, and doesn't brawl or trade with opponents, and gets dirty at times too. I think his low workrate and negativity would frustrate Canelo into taking the lead rather than doing his usual "let the other guy punch first, then let loose" approach, and he's not nearly as effective when he has to lead. Trout, meanwhile, did trade at times with Cotto. I think he can get caught up in the moment and brawl with opponents a bit rather than strictly stick to a plan (though that might have been because he realized Cotto couldn't hurt him at some point, and started to fight accordingly; he might act differently if Canelo hurts him). Similarly, I think Molina's wrestling tactics and negativity would frustrate Canelo and force him to lead. I don't see that happening with Trout. Trout probably will try and establish his jab early and keep up a high workrate; that's his style. I view him as a volume boxer more than a slick counterpuncher. I think negative, conservative, disciplined, perhaps dirty guys will trouble Ginger the most; I don't think Trout is really that type of fighter. Trout was pretty clean against Cotto as well.

Good to know you're a man of your word; I'll honor our bet if Ginger loses. I just hope it's an enjoyable, controversy-free bout.

 

If Canelo is on his feet at the end of the night he will win. I just don't see Trout getting the decision and I just don't seem him stopping Canelo.

 

Canelo's biggest fault is fighting in spurts, however he is still very good with his combinations and counters. I think this fight is gonna come down to how Trout assimilates Canelo's punches. I got a feeling that if Alvarez lands as often as Cotto did, he will actually hurt Trout. On the other hand Trout is not a big puncher, if he cant get alvarez's respect early is going to be a problem.

You don't have to be a big puncher to get respect and Trout has the edge in stamina better footwork and a nice jab.Im looking forward to this fight.:yep

 

Pick'em fight imo...... close to 50/50 as it gets which is why it's so great.

trout has the stylistic advantage and Canelo has more question marks so he's likely to show something different and also has the judging advantage which might just be all he needs.

 

I think the winner here between these two will be the premiere active boxer P4P. tell me if I'm wrong.

Trout isn't getting a decision in Texas, no way. He needs a KO, multiple knock downs in multiple rounds or a complete shutout to get a W. He's got no power. That's why Canelo took the fight and that's why GBP put the fight in Texas. The easiest money you'll ever make is to bet Canelo by decision.
