And Marquez complained after the fight that Floyd's punches felt like it's coming from a giant (note: Floyd weigh-in over the agreed weight limit).

We've seen built, well defined fighters get their ass kicked before, and one in Bradley, but he doesn't KO anyone. Zab looked mad strong at the weigh in before Khan and got stomped. Cotto never looks cut and well defined, but he had many KOs before 154.

Not necessarily. A guy his size can put on almost ten pounds of glycogen, which does not have the detrimental effect on the heart that fat does, since it contains no blood vessels.

The only problem with that, is that that much glycogen will make the muscles a little stiff & sluggish. Between his last fight & today, Lopez could conceivably have (safely) gained 3-4 lbs of muscle, so that + 5 lbs of glycogen & maybe he's not in bad shape at all. Plus, that extra stored fuel might be a small help if the fight goes to the final rounds.

but that's not the problem though. We're comparing it to how he looked b4

he came into the weighin against Ortiz at 144 though

This fight is a sham. Everyone knew Lopez isn't a guy who should be fighting at this weight. He look soft and bloated...like at least 10 lbs overweight.

What time was the weigh-in? How was the attendance compared to Chavez-Martinez?

Sure, but I'm saying that in that short amount of time, he could conceivably have put on as much as 9 lbs safely, with little detriment.

Sadly, he does indeed look a little soft, so maybe that's not the case.
