I wouldn't be surprised if there is something to this. Jacobs looked shopworn in his last fight against Sulecki. Yes, Jacobs KD'd him but Sulecki looked good most of the fight. No doubt Canelo's team saw the same thing - vulnerability. Jacobs looked quick but weak, lacking power. He looked much bigger against GGG. Something has changed with Jacobs, though I can't put my finger on it.

I thought the same, looked poor in both his fights under Hearn.Jacobs was juiced to the gills for the Golovkin fight and pulled the IBF trick, you wanna know why you can’t put your finger on it?im telling you the likely reason.

Getting owned by the three stooges must suck.

You're probably used to it by now.

Jacobs will be 190. Canelo will be 185.

I would give Canelo credit for taking this fight.

Yes it can’t be done now as the IBF changed the ruling probably on account of this, basically IBF had a rule where the next day after the weigh in you had to be within ten pounds of the weight to fight for it so what Jacobs did is let Gennady go ahead with the weigh in making him think they were both fighting for his IBF belt thus making GGG make sure he was within ten pounds and then the following day Jacobs turned up large(many respected journalists said he was a cruiserweight)and said I ain’t fighting for the IBF.

Probably wouldn’t of made a difference to Golovkin as he ain’t a big Middleweight anyway but still Jacobs on the night was enormous and I’ve not seen him that size since.

All these Canelo fan boys who go on about GGG being greedy make me laugh as they never take into account what Golovkin has done just to get fights so with Jacobs the fight should have happened many months sooner and in hindsight it looked like he was on a cycle, juiced to the eyeballs,he also had the venue and got paid well.
Same with Canelo, only this time it sounds like he’s had enough with the A side BS and it has been said that whilst Canelo is the bigger earner between these two the A side thing isn’t that obvious since even the WBC made Canelo fight or drop the belt so no favours from them and GGG does carry some weight I need the sport of boxing,I suspect he’ll be hoping for some clarity on the standard of judging in Canelos fights and possibly venue.

Oh I think we all would, that Jacobs has looked relatively poor in last few fights I wouldn’t worry about as I suspect he’s a guy who does well in the big fights,Quillin and GGG he did very well.
I’d be interested in how they fought each other as they both refused(quite rightly)to engage with Golovkin as that’s exactly what GGG wants his opponents to do.
I’ll not knock Canelo if he fight Spike though as he needs a win without the PEDs to know he can compete without em.
Cue the Canelo fan club hating me for saying that lol
