Canelo Alvarez V Andre Ward

Great matchup, but I’m taking Andre Ward in this one. Canelo is elite — great defense, timing, body work — but Ward is just on another level when it comes to ring IQ and adaptability.

Ward would take away Canelo’s strengths the way he always did — smother the counters, control the pace, and fight dirty when needed. He beat bigger, more dangerous guys at 175 like Kovalev, and I don’t think Canelo’s power would bother him much at that weight.

Canelo might win a few early rounds with sharper shots, but Ward’s ability to adjust mid-fight would take over. Over 12 rounds, I see Ward outworking and outthinking him to a clear decision.

canelo is okay but not great. ward is one of the most underappreciated fighters ever.
