Could Alvarez defeat the version of Ali who fought Leon Spinks?

    Don't be bloody silly..
    Canelo would beat 1966 version!!
Can any one, in all honesty, see the black and white, lol, boxer, defeat the colorful high def version of Canelo?!
That guy skipping around gets his butt kicked.

    Next!!

That version of Ali was getting pretty bad. That said he's a much bigger guy that still has something in the tank.

I think Ali decisions him with a few observations.

Ali started off vs Spinks pretty well, but slowed down. He had some problems with tagging Spinks using head movement and imho Canelo is much much better at that. I think that this slower version of Ali will have trouble in truly making his size count. On the other hand as powerful as Canelo is at 168 I don't know whether he's got the punch to bother a HW Ali, even an old version like this.

Ali looked pretty bad but I really can’t imagine Canelo as a heavyweight

Alvarez is a tad small to do that, although Ali was almost shot by then
