Canelo Alvarez vs Austin Trout rbr

Even the rounds that Canelo took off were not exactly great rounds for Trout. I gave those rounds to him but it was because he was the only one doing anything, not because he was having any success.

Not a hard fight to score.

Just watched the fight this morning and I thought Canelo won a close but clear decision. I had it 115-112. Trout threw loads but he wasn't landing anything meaningful.

 

I was one of the many who before this fight was saying Trout would likely get robbed and Alvarez isn't all that.

Watched the fight this morning, I haven't scored it but Alvarez clearly won in my opinion. Trout was definitely in it so I have no clue why one judge had 11 rds to 1 but still, even Trout isn't moaning. Alvarez took a major leap in my estimations with that. Well done to him.

 

Didn't score it but my impression was that Canelo deserved a close verdict. His defence was very good but his activity is not great.

I was impressed with Alvarez defensively,when he started boxing off the back foot and landing hard counters Trout never looked really comfortable forcing the fight IMO.

 

Good good fight. Had canelo winning by two. Interesting to see where he goes from here.

Other than the open scoring can't fathom the resignation by Trout after the bell. He, his team and the watson family should have been celebrating pre-results then going ape **** after those wide scores were read out.

Very dodgy.
