37 days from today. Wonder when the fight will be official.

I love Canelo but they have to start giving his opponents firm commitments 12 weeks in advance.

I can't imagine Avni Yildirim has money to bring in the resources he would want for a Canelo fight just in case one happens.

This will be the first time in Canelo's career to fight someone younger than himself.

I'm surprised they didn't give him 12 hours lead time.

There is no way he didn’t know, he has been the mandatory for a long time now.

I'm calling it: last minute switch to the Amir Khan rematch.

Knowing/hoping and guaranteed are two different things.

You know that you have a good chance of landing your dream/high-paying job. Do you go out and buy that platinum AP Royal Oak before you receive a job offer?

    Exactly.

I like Canelo but he's only fuelling the controversy with the way they're making these fights. Also, not good for the TV companies or the fans as less build up coverage and excitement as well as poorer undercards.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually feel for the TV companies and promoters as at this stage Canelo is probably pretty much the only person getting anything out of a Canelo fight, and in the long run this will only hurt us fans as TV companies pull even further away from boxing

I believe he stepped aside for Callum Smith, he had to have known he was up next.

Knowing isn't guaranteed. Otherwise the fight would have been announced very soon after Smith with the site TBD.

Meanwhile Clenelo went right back into training camp after the sparring session with Smith.

    Let's take bets

4 weeks in advance? It gives Avni at least 28 days to lose 28lbs?

Well it dosent really matter anyway. Canelo is juicing, his hand wraps are loaded and Yildirim is going to throw the fight.
