Who's the last fighter Canelo wore down and got out of there late? A half dead drained sitting target Angulo, and even that was a questionable stoppage. Before that it was........Ryan Rhodes. If Canelo doesn't get you out of there early, he ain't getting you out of there. And for the record, BJS is 2 inches taller than Trout and has a longer reach than Canelo, don't be deceived by the Lee match, Lee is 6'2 Canelo would look like a midget next to him.
Both are boxer-punchers who prefer to work from mid-range firing in combination. Neither is a big hitter at MW. Neither is a giant hitter. Both have average speed but very nice punch selection and placement. Both have iffy stamina and see a reduction in their overall mobility and nimble footwork after theiron gas tank runs low. Both have good chins and show flashes of defensive slickness, but are inconsistent with it.
Think you would be wise to listen to me and cst on this one. This has Saunders UD splattered all over it.
The faster footed fighter wins. Bjs knows how to close a fight down. Canelo would try to be aggressive and be jabbed to mercy.
:deal It would be a great fight, two Irishmen going at it again.:yep And once more Billy Joe will prove to be the slicker one.
Nothing like revisionist history First of all JCCJr was waaay bigger, AND was losing on the every judges scorecard before he managed to trap Lee in a corner and cause a stoppage while Lee was still on his feet, no where near 'Ktfo'..,
Good match up, very slight edge to Canelo. It would look like Canelo-Trout without the knockdown. They are nearly mirror images of each other.
Yes, but not a huge one. I wouldn't say BJS is like a middleweight GRJ or anything. Eubank was actually faster of hand; BJS had the superior technique and ring generalship (especially in the first half) ...besides, Canelo flashes decent enough speed in combination at times.
